Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation

The purpose of rehabilitation is to restore some or all of the patient’s physical and sensory capabilities that were lost due to injury, illness, or disease. It includes assisting the patient to compensate for deficits that cannot be reversed. Some of the components included in rehabilitation:

  • Pain Management
  • Flexibility and Joint ROM
  • Strength and Endurance
  • Proprioception and Coordination
  • Functional Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation exercises are very important in order to reduce the risk of a re-injuring the same area in the future. Studies resoundingly show that when exercise is combined with other types of therapy the results are significantly better.
